A Pioneering Book from Pioneer University: "International Student Studies in Turkey"
In addition to serving international students studying at Istanbul University, the International Student Application and Research Center, whose mission is to conduct research on International Studentship, a developing field in Turkey, has published its first book.
The academic literature on international students, whose numbers have increased every year in Turkey in recent years, is also increasing. It is seen that the literature has expanded not only in terms of quantity but also in terms of quality, and many researchers from different disciplines have conducted large and small studies on this subject.
The work titled International Student Studies in Turkey, written by Mehmet Erken, presents a bibliography and evaluation of the studies conducted in Turkey in the field of international students between 1993 and 2020. Bringing together and evaluating the knowledge gained so far will make it possible to see the pros and cons of this field, which is expected to expand further in the coming years.
