A Colorful Trip to the Ancient City of Amasya


As the International Student Center (İSUMER), we made a trip to Amasya with a busload of our international students between 13-15 May 2022.

 

We had our breakfast early in the morning.

With the support of Amasya Provincial Directorate of Culture, accompanied by Director Bilal EKEN and guided by Muzaffer Doğanbaş, the first stop of our trip was Sabuncuoğlu Şerefeddin History of Medicine and Surgery Museum.

 

Afterwards, we stopped by the Mehmet Pasha Mosque on foot.


Right after, we visited Pir Sücaettin İlyas Tomb with our bus.

 

From there we went to the Cilehane Mosque.

 

After that, we climbed the Amasya Castle.

After Kale, our place of visit was Büyükağa Madrasa.

 

After that, we went to Ferhat Water Canal – Lovers Museum.

 

We met at Diyanet Book Cafe for lunch.

 
 

Right after, we saw the Miniature Amasya Museum.

We rested in front of Bayezid II Complex.


We became the living witnesses of Amasya's deep-rooted history at the Archeology Museum – Mummies Museum.


After walking on the way to Kadılar Tomb, we stopped by Gök Madrasa.

 

We rested in Gök Medrese.


After spending some free time in Amasya for a while, we ended our trip to Amasya with dinner.
