Necessary Papers for İÜYÖS Registration


a) Original of high school diploma or temporary graduation certificate with approval of notary or Turkish Foreign Representative Office
b) Original of the high school diploma that had retrieved from the Ministry of National Education Provincial Directorate of National Education or Turkish Foreign Representation (For the equivalence certificate, students who have not prepared a diploma equivalent between the registration dates of IÜYÖS-2018 even though they applied to the Provincial Directorate of National Education, students must submit their diploma equivalence certificates within 60 days from the date of enrolment to the student affairs. Registration of Students who do not submit their diploma equivalence will be deleted.)
c) Applicant's courses in high school, the official grade certificate approved by the high school directorate showing the grades and the grade point average (transcript), Turkish translation of transcript tat approved with approval of notary or Turkish Foreign Representative Office
d) Students who have TRNC nationality and who are residing in TRNC and who have completed their secondary education in the TRNC and who have GCE AL exam results and who have enrolled and enrolled in colleges and high schools in other countries between 2005-2010, a copy of the GCE AL score certificate and a Turkish translation of the GCE AL score certificate with approval of notary or Turkish Foreign Representative Office
e) Printout of certificate of results İÜYÖS-2018
f) Certified copy of the pages showing the identity and validity of the passport and the Turkish translation of the passport approved by the notary or Turkish Foreign Representatives
g) A copy of an internationally recognized Foreign Language Certificate and a Turkish Proficiency Certificate, if any, approved by a notary or Turkish Foreign Representatives
h) Certificate of Residence (It must be delivered to the relevant unit student office within one month from the date of registration)
i) Eight pieces 4.5x6.0 cm size photos (It must be drawn in the last six months and from the front so the applicant can be known easily)
j) Bank receipt that shows tuition fee was paid.
k) Signed Livelihood Declaration 
l) A case report of a population of foreign nationals who were foreign nationals and who later became citizens of the Republic of Turkey

•    Students of Open Education and Distance Education pay the tuition fee with material fee of related semester.

•    It is calculated according to 2018-2019 academic year contributions.


         The insurance premiums of our international students who registered with Türkiye Scholarships are paid from the budget of The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities.

       Our international students who registered with YÖS Program pay the insurance premiums themselves.





Student residence permit is issued in articles 38 and 41 of Law No. 6458 on Foreigners and International Protection. In addition, a residence permit for students was granted in Articles 35 and 39 of the Regulation on the Implementation of the Law on Foreigners and International Protection.


Who are foreigners who can organize student residence permit?
-    Foreigners who will study in primary and secondary education without family residence permit. (Foreigners who will be educated at the primary and secondary level with a family residence permit can continue their education without having to get a residence permit until the age of 18. However, students who are 18 years of age and who still continue their education at secondary level are required to have a residence permit.)
-    In Turkey, a residence permit can be arranged for foreigners who will be trained in associate degree, bachelor's degree, master's degree, doctorate, Medical Specialization Training (TUS), Dental Training Specialty (DUS).
-    The student residence permit entitles the student to be supportive only to their spouse and children in applications for family residence permits. The other relatives do not provide any right to obtain a residence permit.
How many years of student residence permit can be arranged?
 If the duration of the foreign student's education is less than one year, the duration of student residence permit cannot exceed the duration of the study. Foreigners who came to study to Turkey through public institutions and organizations, give a residence permit during their education. Foreigners who will have first and secondary education, whose care and expenses are paid by real or legal person, may be granted and granted a residence permit for one year during their education with the consent of their parents or legal representatives.

What are the student residence permit requirements?
Foreigners must have the requirements of Article 39 of the Law in order to be able to issue student residence permit.
-    Supporting information about the purpose of their stay in Turkey and to submit documents. (Article 38 of the Law)
-    Not to fall within the scope of Article 7 of the aforementioned Law.
-    Giving the address information will remain in Turkey.

What are the reasons for deny, cancellation or not extension of student residence permit?
-    Failure to meet or eliminate the conditions required for student residence permit.
-    Evidence of evidence that the student cannot continue his education.
-    Determining that the student residence permit is used outside the purpose of the study.
-    There is a current deportation decision or to have a ban on entry to Turkey for student.
          Short term residence permit is not granted, if not given, is canceled, the term is not extended.
